Compliance and Licence Partnership

By entering a compliance and license agreement with ARA AG, companies transfer to ARA AG the legal obligations they have under the Austrian Packaging Ordinance.

All companies that are affected by the Packaging Ordinance can become licence partners of ARA:

• Manufacturers: companies that produce packaging or packaging aids, especially service packaging
• Importers and dealers: companies that import or deal in packaging, packaging aids, or packed commodities.
• Fillers and packers: companies that fill and pack goods or commodities in packaging or wrap them with packaging for the purpose of storage and dispatch.

The licence partnership with ARA offers you a number of benefits:

• It exempts you from the requirement to take back, reuse, and recover any type of packaging of commercial or domestic origin put into circulation.
• It exempts you from the requirement to meet material recycling quotas per packaging material.
• It exempts you from the information, notification, and documentation requirement vis-à-vis final users and authorities.
• It exempts you from a sophisticated packaging accounting scheme:
  Only one contract
  Only one contact person
  Only one packaging notification
• You are entitled to use the "Dot" on your packaging.

We also offer you a variety of free services, such as advice on packaging matters, on licensing, on accounting, etc.
